Brazed aluminium plate-fin heat exchangers (BAHXs) are capable of handling
a wide variety of streams, provided that they do not corrode aluminium, up
to pressures of 100 bar (1450 psi) and temperatures of 204 °C (400 °F). They
are robust and can withstand mechanical shock, combined thermal and pressure
stresses, and temperature and pressure cycling. The following table summarises
typical applications.
